Amateur 23 Centimeter Band (1240–1300 MHz)
Microwave contesting · ATV · EME at higher frequency
| Frequency Range | 1240–1300 MHz |
| Wavelength | 23–24 cm |
| ITU / Standard | — |
Applications
- →Microwave contesting
- →ATV
- →EME at higher frequency
- →Narrowband weak signal
- →AO-40 satellite legacy
Propagation Characteristics
Yagi antennas have high gain with manageable boom length. EME feasible with 3m+ dish. WSJT-EME possible with modest stations.
Regulatory Notes
Secondary allocation, under ITU review. ITU WRC-23 proceedings may restrict amateur use near GPS L2 (1227 MHz). Check current allocations in your region.
